On November 16, fierce clashes erupted between the Taโ€™ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and junta forces at the Taung Kham Artillery Bases 354 and 902 in Naung Cho, Northern Shan State.

During the fighting, several junta forces from Infantry Division 11 and Light Infantry Battalion 213, including a major and a captain, were killed. Additionally, weapons, ammunition, and military equipment were seized by TNLA forces, who also captured four junta soldiers as prisoners of war.

The clashes were reportedly triggered by an offensive launched by the junta, which had been reinforcing troops into Naung Cho from Yatsauk and Kyaukgu in Southern Shan State.

To regain control of the artillery camps in Naung Cho, the junta forces have been replenishing ammunition via air from Yatsauk-Kyaukgu in Southern Shan State. They have also been shelling areas without active clashes with heavy artillery and carrying out aerial bombings, according to the TNLA.
