In Rakhine Stateโ€™s Gwa and Taungup Townships, junta airstrikes on November 13 and 14 killed 11 innocent civilians and left at least 5 others injured.

On the morning of November 13, at around 10 a.m., the military junta carried out an unprovoked airstrike on Jaing Kauk village, killing 7 civilians and injuring 5 others, despite no fighting occurring in the village area. Later on the evening of November 14, at 8 p.m., junta forces stationed at Sap Thwar Creek Bridge (also called Jaing Kauk Bridge) near Jaing Kauk village in Gwa Township reportedly destroyed the bridge with explosives before retreating, according to local reports.

In a separate incident on November 14, at 3 p.m., the junta targeted Yan Kho village in Taungup Township with drone strikes and artillery strikes, killing 4 civilians from a single family.

Meanwhile, clashes between junta forces and the Arakan Army (AA) have continued in Taungup Townshipโ€™s Kine Shay Ward. The AA has reportedly driven junta forces out of Taungup University and taken control of the campus. Over 60,000 residents remain trapped in the town of Taungup, with many still in hiding for safety.
