Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe has confirmed that degrees issued by the National Unity Government (NUG) are now recognized internationally, enabling graduates to pursue further education in both Southeast Asia and Western countries. He shared this news during an interview on the “𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬” program, hosted by veteran journalist U Khin Maung Soe.
Dr. Zaw Wai Soe explained, “𝘋𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘸𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴. 𝘞𝘦 𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥. 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘪𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥. 𝘈𝘴 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵, 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 2023–2024 𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳, 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴. 𝘞𝘦’𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘶𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳’𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴.”
He continued, “𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘑𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘯, 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘒𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘢, 𝘈𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘢, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘒, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘚. 𝘊𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺, 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘮𝘢𝘳.”
The NUG’s Ministry of Education has been working to ensure access to education for all, aligning with its policies. Both online and ground-based schools have been established and continue to offer educational opportunities.
