On November 26, during the fifth day of Civil Resistance Week, U Lwin Ko Latt, Union Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration of the National Unity Government, stated that the primary goal after the collapse of the military council is to build a federal democracy.
He made these remarks during a webinar titled “𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝-𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬,” where he discussed the coordination between the resistance movements, governance efforts, and the intensification of military battles during the revolution.
“𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘺,” said the Minister. He emphasized that while administrative responsibilities continue, the focus must remain steadfast on these objectives. “𝘈𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵. 𝘞𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘥𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘶𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘥.”
He further elaborated on the interconnected nature of political, military, and public movements during the revolution, stating:
