the military council dropped air-bombs with fighter jets in Tanintharyi Region, just when super cyclone Mocha hit.



When Super Cyclone Mocha started to enter Myanmar, the military council in Ye Phyu Township, Tanintharyi Region, Residents say that a fighter plane is dropping bombs on Nabule area.


It is reported that there was a fierce battle between the People's Defense Forces and the Military Council forces in the early morning of today, May 14th, near the Dawei Special Economic Zone in the Nabule area of Ye Phyu Township.


According to local residents, the military council is attacking the civil defense groups with aerial support in this battle.

The Military Council troops entered the Nabule region, where the Dawei Special Economic Zone is located, from the side of the village of Watchaung from around 4:00 a.m. early this morning.


The military council column was intercepted by the People's Defense Joint Teams, and the fighting between the two sides was still going on.

At around 8:30am this morning, a local resident said that the military council dropped about three bombs with a reconnaissance plane on the side of the lake where some local residents live near the Dawei Special Economic Zone project.

"I also saw the bomb being dropped. I also saw the plane flying away. The condition of the local residents is not yet known," said a local.


It is known from the locals that the local people near the Dawei Special Economic Zone are being evacuated due to the intense fighting between the Military Council Army and the People's Defense Army.


On Last May 8th, the Military Council's column, which entered from the side of the village of Watchaung, was also intercepted by the People's Defense Joint Teams.

In this battle, there were some wounded and killings by the military council forces, and six days after the battle, the military council forces have returned to attack with air support since early this morning.
