The village of Kyauktaw, which was destroyed by the storm, needs help.
Rakhine State, where almost entire villages were destroyed by Cyclone MOCHA, Villagers of Lannpitekhwin Village in Kyauktaw Township said that they need food and shelter to live.
Residents said that 95 of the 110 houses in the village were destroyed by the storm, and the village's primary school was also destroyed.
Due to the destruction of their houses, the locals have to share food with each other and live among the ruins, said a resident of the road.
"Aluminium corrugated sheets to rebuild roofs are already over ten thousand per piece. With that, we will have to do the raining of the ponds because it will cost more than 100,000 per roll, so we can't afford it. They have collected the ruins and covered them with good things. They have to share food from house to house. Our village has not received any help yet."
In addition, the primary school attended by nearly 50 students was damaged and could not be repaired, he said.
