The Telegraph reported that the UN Secretary General's special representative for Myanmar, Mrs. Noeleen Heyzer, met with Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar on Tuesday and discussed the Myanmar issue.

Knowing Ms. Noeleen Heyzer’s opinion about Myanmar, Foreign Minister Jaishankar wrote on his Twitter page on May 9 that he is encouraging and supporting his actions. The details of the discussions between the two have not yet been revealed.

On May 1st, Ms. Noeleen Heyzer met with the Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang in Beijing. He talked about the importance of China's role in resolving the Myanmar crisis.

Noeleen Heyzer said during her visit to China that the united efforts of neighboring countries in the region can have more influence when dealing with Myanmar's affairs.

India, which has resolved relations with the military council, has called for an end to the violence just days after more than 170 people were killed in an airstrike by the military council on Pazigyi village in Kanbalu township. In addition, on April 25, India hosted the second round of the Track 1.5 secret meeting on the Myanmar issue.
