Acting President Duwa Lashi La, has asked the international community to impose international sanctions on those who import and sell military equipment and jet fuel to the Myanmar military council.

It was included in the speech given on the two-year anniversary of the formation of the National Unity Government (NUG).

At a time when it is still unable to protect the air defense from the military junta in Myanmar, he said that the air defense education activities will be increased among the citizens so that the people do not suffer from death again.

He also urged NGOs, local civil society organizations and international organizations to increase awareness activities among the people that can protect against airstrikes by the military council.

On April 11th, 40 children and 24 pregnant women were killed in the airstrike attack on Pazigyi village, Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Division. He also added that a total of 168 people died.
